#FallWritingFrenzy 2021

I love a good writing competition! They challenge you to write something fresh, get those creative juices flowing and step outside your comfort zone. It’s also a wonderful way to connect with other writers of kid lit and have a little fun together. Below is my entry for this year’s #FallWritingFrenzy 2021 competition.

ONE FULL MOON

By Pippa Chorley

A counting board book, numbers 1-20.

One full moon.

A glaring of cats.

A coven of witches.

A cloud of bats.

A haunting of ghosts.

A chorus of howls.

A porchway of pumpkins.

A parliament of owls.

A stagger of zombies.

A graveyard of stones.

A gnashing of teeth.

A clatter of bones.

A magic of wands.

A millinery of hats.

An autumn of leaves.

A mischief of rats.

A cauldron of candy.

A sweep of broomsticks.

A clutter of spiders.

A bag full of tricks.

 Everyone scream…

… Happy Halloween!
